When launching other shells/batch files from inside a ConEmu managed shell, these shells are not opened as ConEmu tabs.

First of all,
  • Features/Integration/"Force ConEmu as ..." is checked
  • "Register ConEmu autorun" is not used.
Use case 1
  • Launch cmd inside ConEmu.
  • Enter the following command: "start cmd" or "start mybatchfile.bat" and hit enter
  • See that the new shell is not started as a ConEmu tab.
Use case 2
  • Launch FAR manager inside ConEmu
  • Enter the following command: "cmd" hold shift and then hit enter
  • See that the new shell is not started as a ConEmu tab.
Note that when using the "Register ConEmu autorun" (Startup/ComSpec), injection thing does not work nicely on all shells and in all use cases so it would be nice to have the same kind of integration as when I launch shell from explorer or launch shells from WIN+r.

An example of that, on my machine, when I run the use case 2 using "Register ConEmu autorun", the cmd shell injection thing fails badly as described by the attached CmdFromFarBug.png attachment.

Don't use "start" if you want to create new tab in ConEmu.Read about -new_console switch instead.
